Dietsmann launches new ‘green’ initiative at its Monaco Office

Dietsmann is soon to replace the lighting equipment in its Monaco office with new LED lights. This will not only produce some useful savings, but will also substantially reduce the operation’s carbon footprint.

Dietsmann has long been committed to reducing the impact of its activities on the environment. This not only applies to its work in the field, such as the reduction of flaring, but also to every part of the organization. So the company has launched a new energy reduction initiative at its Support and
Coordination Office in Monaco.
One of the first projects involved an interesting analysis on the use of LED lighting in Monaco. The results were quite impressive, showing that replacing the current lighting system with new LED lights will allow Dietsmann to make significant long-term energy and cost economies. On a yearly basis, replacing the old lights with LEDs will allow 2,623 MW/month of energy savings to be made. The current lights need to be replaced every 4,000 hours, whereas LED lights can last for 40,000 hours before they are replaced. In total, these savings will represent about 32MW (Megawatts) in annual energy economies. The new LED lighting will be installed in the office in Monaco by the end of May. As well as reducing the carbon footprint of the offices, considerable cost savings will be achieved.
