DIETSMANN is happy to announce that it has donated 50,000 US Dollars to the Hospital Paupers Fund of Yola, Nigeria.
This Fund was created in 2015 after the Management of the Federal Medical Centre located in Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria, wished to find a solution to the fact that numerous of its patients could not afford treatment.
As the hospital could not provide services free of charge, the Fund was needed in search of donations.
Before this initiative, patients could not pay for treatments like the malaria treatment, which are vital as in Nigeria, 300,000 people die of malaria each year.
Today, this Fund ensures that no patients are denied medical care due to their inability to pay.
Dietsmann is proud to support an initiative that has allowed two hundred ninety-five (295) people to receive treatment since 2016 and that has received the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award in 2018.
This donation is part of the Company’s efforts to support the local communities of the countries in which it operates.
