This year’s edition stood out, with 120 teams representing 66 nationalities, each showcasing remarkable passion, creativity, and commitment to ocean conservation.

As part of our broader commitment to social impact and innovation in Africa, Dietsmann introduced the “Spotlight on Africa” prize – a special recognition awarded to the most promising African start-up in the competition.
This award is designed to inspire young people across the continent to contribute to meaningful change in ocean protection, empowering them to become key actors of environmental transformation.
