WORLD DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK 2022

Dietsmann celebrates the World Day for Safety at Work 2022 by launching their brand new 9 LEADING SAFETY RULES.

TICK-BORNE DISEASES

Dietsmann has launched a prevention campaign on tick-borne diseases as it operates in countries which are affected by diseases transmitted by ticks.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST MOSQUITO-BORNE DISEASES

Mosquitoes cause around 700,000 deaths a year from diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, leishmaniasis, west Nile virus, chikungunya, yellow fever, zika fever, Japanese encephalitis and rift valley fever. The risk of contracting a mosquito-borne disease is one faced by many of our employees around the around the world, especially those living and/or working in Africa, Asia or South America.

PRO AND HOUSEHOLD ACCIDENTS

At home and at work we all have the same goal: avoid accidents. Look after yourself, your family, your friends and your colleagues. “Thinking before acting must be your permanent guideline.”

WORLD QUALITY DAY

Ever since it was founded in 1977 Dietsmann has been committed to providing high-quality services to its clients. Today most of Dietsmann’s subsidiaries have been awarded ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001 is the recognized international standard for quality management systems of an organization, regardless of its size and activities.
To confirm our determination to continuously improve quality, in addition to our regular internal HSEQ campaigns, every year we dedicate special quality awareness campaign materials to World Quality Day in November.

SAFE DRIVING CAMPAIGN

Dietsmann is fully committed to compliance with the most stringent health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) standards and applies all its clients’ safety rules when working on site. But Dietsmann is also committed to continuous improvement.

SAFE LIFTING OPERATIONS

Dietsmann is fully committed to complying with the most stringent health safety and environment (HSEQ) standards. This is why Dietsmann not only applies all the clients’ safety rules on site, but has also formulated its own set of 12 rules that are directly related to the Company’s core business. One of the Dietsmann 12 Safe Maintenance Rules deals with lifting operations.

HEALTHY LIFE CAMPAIGN

Following the HSEQ campaigns in 2012 about cardiovascular diseases, drinking prevention and HIV prevention, in the first quarter of 2013 we will deal with the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders.

HAND CARE CAMPAIGN

In 2011 the Dietsmann Safety Campaign was all about hand care. During this year all Dietsmann employees were informed about manual handling dangers and what they can do to protect their hands and avoid injuries. The campaign explained safe manual handling practices and showed how to improve working methods, avoid risks and prevent accidents involving hands.

HANDLE WITH CARE CAMPAIGN

Your back is essential to almost everything you do. Walking, sitting down, lifting. You couldn’t do it without the help of your back. So when handling materials at work, care for your back. Lifting a heavy object, or simply lifting the wrong way may cause an acute back injury. But in the long term, it may even get worse. Repetitive handling and lifting of materials without proper care, may cause chronic damage to your spine column and ultimately lead to permanent invalidity.
